Achy No-Breaky. Hello Hatters,

In 1992, Billy Ray Cyrus, released Achy Breaky Heart, a catchy country tune with a line dance to follow. This song came to mind as I found myself in an achy situation.

After a really hard fall and a trip to the emergency room, I finally received good reports that nothing was broken. Gratitude filled my heart for no broken bones. My achy body will heal. To recuperate, I must rest but keep moving. How much rest and how much movement? That was a tricky combination.

I thought I could go to Sunday night church activities (with help). The vanity in me took a look in the mirror and wondered what I could do to improve my appearance. Put on a hat? My friend and I laughed about the irony of this suggestion because I write as one who wears many hats. But literally, I needed a real hat!

Reality set in along with more aches and pains, so I stayed home. In fact, I went to bed early. Maybe more rest than movement for now.

Most of my posts are intentionally designed to ponder, consider or reflect. This message, however, is for the real physical ache in my body, which time will eventually heal. Oh and of course, I must remember to rest and to move. I’ll have to listen to my body. Even physical improvement requires the right balance so that I can dance again. My wish for you is the same. Find your balance. Find your dance.

Hugzzzzzzz,

MT
