Eyes On

Hello Hatters,
Millions of people watched the Super Bowl last night. That‘s a lot of eyes on one event. I watched with Country Hubby, laughing at some of the commercials and cheering on my team. It was a fun night. This morning, I was reflecting on how many people were involved in such a big event. Here's the list I started in my head: players, coaches, support staff, medical teams, journalists, commentators, arena workers, advertisers, security and of course, the spectators.
You may come up with a more complete list of participants. I'm no expert. I watch because there are stories in each of the lives. I wait to be moved by pieces of the whole and I definitely was touched by the tribute to the old players, coaches and the military. Even our grand ole Flag was honored, which was a welcome sight.
So there were millions of eyes on, but did you catch the expressions in the eyes of the players or coaches on the field and on the sidelines? The whole gambit of emotions was seen from exasperation to exhilaration. So many cameras with different angles would replay in slow motion the various facial expressions. I watched the eyes. So many different looks on the faces kept my eyes pealed for what was going on in the mind and heart. To me, last night was a winner for everyone. Just to play in a game like that reveals a lot of little steps that lead to the big game. I know people say that winning is everything; perhaps but....
Each of us has a Super Bowl every moment of every day. Do we rise to the occasion? Do we put out our best? What kind of facial expressions are we showing to our families, friends and co-workers? Believe me, someone is watching, accessing, planning. I just want to share this short post about the hat I want to wear today and that is one of being a good sport. Win or lose today, may my attitude be considerate and kind. It will take deliberate action. I believe it is worth the effort. I hope you do, too.
Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,
MT
