It Depends!

Hello Hatters,

Our family has been video chatting for about 4 weeks now. Each Wednesday, we huddle up to a computer or tablet to share, laugh and play games. The games are enjoyed by four generations and the object of one game is to ask questions that help you get to know a person better. Now, I've known these people most of their lives and their answers still surprise me. We laugh and glean new insights into each other during this time of connection even while we endure the social distancing. The younger ones melt our heart by just appearing on the screen for moments at a time. They're a bundle of energy with sweet smiles and funny answers.

So last night, I would ask the questions and it would make the rounds to each person. One particular person would not answer the question without asking many questions. The response was, "It depends!" She would ask questions to answer the question. Mind you, these questions came from a website with no additional interpretation. She just would not answer the first question. It was against her nature. She wants more information. I get it. Don't we all want more information to answer questions.

It got me to thinking about the current situation of Covid-19. We all want answers to our many questions, so that we can pursue our future days in safety. Much speculation has been done. Experts are studying the data to make recommendations. Leaders make tough decisions and the opposition raises their objections. There are so many uncertainties that we just have to do the best we can in light of what we know. Take precautions. Live life where we are, in the best way possible.

The irritating thing for me is to see ignorance at the risk of other people. Pride often shows up when mistakes are made and hidden. I detest cover ups. It is unfortunate for everyone when the truth is unknown. When the truth is unavailable, people make up their own versions and the propaganda rarely stops. The point is that we have many unanswered questions about the Covid-19. The solutions depend on the truth. So yes, just like our game of questions last night, IT DEPENDS! The future depends on solutions from the truth. I'm a writer who wears many hats just like you. I pray for the truth and the solutions, for one depends on the other. Join me in praying to God for our world.

Hugzzzzzzzzzzz,

MT
