Milestones

Hello Hatters,
This weekend will be busy for my family. Celebration, food, and games will focus on Country Hubby's birthday. He's a great role model of servant-hood and perseverance through hardship, so we are happy to party in his honor. He didn't want a party but I kind of insisted. Funny how the tables were turned a few years ago and I didn't want a milestone party for myself and I got my way so there was no party. Yet for this party, I didn't take no for an answer.
Ever have on that stubborn hat? I have been labeled stubborn for most of my life. My mom would ease the label by calling me tenacious. Maybe I've mellowed over the years because I don't feel stubborn. I wonder if my family would have a different take on that attribute of mine? Probably...
I just want to say in this short post that life is short, people are to be treasured, and milestones should be celebrated. Next time someone wants to throw me a party, I hope my stubborn self will step aside so the excitement can gain momentum and come to fruition. On another note, the holidays are upon us and I hope that you're starting to think about how to spend the time with family and friends.
I happen to be a pumpkin crazy person, so I enjoy this time of year in one sense and that is taste! Oh, to taste the different things that pumpkin can spice up! Ice cream, muffins, coffee, and pancakes! A milestone for me is always pumpkin season; I think they call it Autumn.
Now for Country Hubby, there is no pumpkin in store for the weekend.... His party will be all of his favorites, as it should be. So to all of you who know Country Hubby, think good thoughts of him as we pull off this party pushed on him by a stubborn wife. Truth be told, I think he'll enjoy it! I just might insist that he enjoy it......... Wow, did I really just say that? Maybe I am tenacious, after all!
Celebrate Milestones!
Hugzzzzzzzzzzzz,
MT
