Navigate the Fog

Hello Hatters,

Today brought fog and another reminder that we may think we know where we are going, but we don't really know where the future is headed. On my travels, I happily followed a pickup truck until the driver took a left turn. I was left alone to the fog again. I drove slowly to my turn and arrived safely to my destination. I navigated the weather just fine. Yet, it seems like there's a fog not just in the weather. It is everywhere.

Uncertainty makes us feel uncomfortable. We like security. We like the known. The real illusion is that security does exist. Circumstances change in an instant and lately everyone's normal is affected. The news is depressing, the stock market is reacting and folks are scared. I know that the world situation is bad. May I offer my perspective?

I believe that my life is in the hands of God. If a sparrow cannot fall without the Lord knowing, then I am trusting His plan for my life. Also, on the day of 9/11, I remember the words of a well respected boss who said we can honor those who are suffering by working when they cannot.

May I encourage each of you to trust the Lord for your moments? God doesn't sleep and He is not surprised at the current situation. It will be used for His Glory, somehow. I am in the fog for that answer but my trust is not. Faith and trust are the only certainties that I can grasp.

I am a writer who wears many hats, just like you. I write about my journeys of discovery and encouragement and try to share those insights. It doesn't seem important to me to name a hat today. There's too much fog and I just want to share my trust in God. A hat just seems too frivolous right now.

Socially Distanced Hugzzzzzzzzzzzzz,

MT
