Signals

Hello Hatters,
In our busyness of life, we don’t often see necessary warning lights or signs. We are distracted with work, problems or issues at home. In truth for me, it is a mixture of everything at work, home and everything in between.
There are light signals, turn indicators, traffic signs and instructions on walls. There’s only a certain amount of data we can absorb in a distracted state of mind. No wonder we miss important communication; there’s just too much information. Add to the mix our phones, computers and televisions and the overload is compounded.
What about us? Do we give off the right message? Are other people reading our ways and misinterpreting our cues? What assumptions are others making about our signals? A literal example is when I drive, I admit that I am not the best at giving turn indicators. What other signals am I missing, giving or not providing?
I bring up this topic because I have missed some of the warning signs of stress in my life. There were indications. There were signs. They did not take ahold of my attention until it was too late. Or is it? Can I adjust my reactions to stress and increase the calm? Probably... Hopefully... By the way, I’m wearing a patient‘s hat today, diagnosed with the shingles. It could be worse. I caught it early. Maybe I did heed some of the signals.
How about you? Are you like me? Are you missing some signals? I hope you’ll assess and adjust, if necessary.
”Sign”ing off for now.
Hugzzzzzzz,
MT

Feel better Kim. 💜♥️💜
