Worship in the Park

Hello Hatters, Country Hubby and I had a different kind of church today. Illness has kept us from our fellowship, but not from a beautiful experience. We parked at our precious local park and listened to the old country hymns from my smart phone.

A bright blue sky offered the backdrop while a gentle breeze moved the mesquite leaves in the rhythms of its own music. I sang with my hoarse voice and snapped my fingers to the livelier melodies. I felt a lifting of my worried spirit and a peace for the moments ahead. Hope uncovered.

Hope is always there, I just have to quiet the noise in my mind and be still. With tears in my eyes, a melody on my lips, and praises in my heart, I am encouraged and restored.

Life is simple in my local park and I can appreciate the example it brings me to trust God for the day to day strength to press on. No amount of stress surprises my Great Big God. No strife, no trouble, no problem is significant when you’re in His Hands.

I am so thankful that Country Hubby and I experienced worship with the sky, the breeze and the trees. God is Good, God is Great and He meets me wherever I am. How can I ever ask for more? His presence is promised and He knows each need. Again. In my human frailty, God restores me again just like I know He will over and over again. What a reassuring word, again. It is a promise of fulfillment as frequent as coffee refills at our local taco hut. Just ask and my cup runneth over.

Hugzzzzzzz,

MT
